#Books: October 2016 Wrap Up

I posted my September wrap now it is time for my October. In October I read alot of young adult instead of my usual new adult books, it was nice change. I also followed recommend books on amazon, as might be able to tell from the niche genre I seemed of stumbled upon at the start of the month.

Adorkable - Cookie O'Gorman
This book was really cute Sally is in love with her best friend Becks and pretty much always has been however she has no intentions of telling him this. Her other best friend Lillian is obsessed with hooking her up on blind dates. So when a rumor starts that she dating Becks she begs him to pretend to be her fake boyfriend, to stop Lillian and to "get the attention of her crush". The only issue is Sally doesn't know if everything is just an act or whether Becks has feeling for her.

Crazy, Stupid, Fauxmance - Shellee Roberts
Mariely and Cabot both get publicly broken up with at a party. Cabot's girlfriend has a fight with him in front of everyone yelling that he cheated on her. While Mariely catches her boyfriend hooking up with another guy. Mariely and Cabot decide to pretend to date so that they can go the dance together without looking tragic. However when getting to know each other true feelings start to form. This was another cute and easy read that I couldn't put down.

Resisting the Rebel - Lisa Brown Roberts
Mandy is  lovely sweet but scatterbrained girl who is desperately in love with her friend Gus. While Caleb is the bad boy loner who wants to get rid of his stalking ex-girlfriend. After driving Mandy home Caleb proposes that they pretend to date, as this will gain gus attention and will stop his ex from stalking him. They two are extremely different however they are still drawn to each other. I found Mandy to be the most annoying character but I did enjoy the story. As you can see fake dating was my thing during October and this is where I moved away from the genre to add some variety to the month.

Perfect Chemistry - Simone Elkeles
Brittany is a very popular girl who's like appears to be perfect, while Alex is a gang member. They get assigned to be chemistry partners for the year much to everyone's disgust. Alex makes a bet that he will hook up with Brittany by thanksgiving even though she has a boyfriend and wants nothing to do with him.  Brittany knows if she was to hook up with Alex it would be social suicide and her mother would never forgive her. This book has some parts that are Spanish, just little parts where characters say things. I think this was still easy to follow. but I think it more suitable for an american audience as. As any words I know in spanish is from American television. Spanish is not a subject offered in many if any Australian schools. I personally studied Italian and French, so if you know a little Spanish this might make the book even better for you!

Twisted Palace - Erin Watt
Okay so this the third book in the Royals series which I freaking love! The end of the the second of book there was a major cliff hanger! I just love Ella and Reed together, their relationship is definitely one that I ship. This the last book on the series and the ending wraps thing up pretty well. I seriously can not recommend this series enough, it's not a hard read but very cute.

Recklessly Royal - Nichole Chase
This the sequel to the book Suddenly Royal which I loved. This book follows princess Cathy, who has never had a proper boyfriend. Dating and being a royal is hard as everyone just wants to become royalty. David doesn't treat Cathy like a princess which she loves. Although issues arrive once the media get wind about the twos potential romance. I started this book I think a  year before I finished this book, I think this was because the start was slow but it does pick up!

Untamed - P.C Cast, Kristin Cast
I started this book at the beginning of 2014... So you can safely say it is not one of my favourites. I did really enjoy the series when I first started it, so I feel bad that it has taken me so long to the complete the book. I do think the ending does make me want to continue but I feel like there is other books I would continue first. As this is the 4th book in the series I'm not going to really tell you too much of the story line in case you haven't read the series. This is basically another Vampire book with it's own spin on the vampire book. I would highly recommend the first book.

Meeting Sang: Kota - C.L Stone
This is a tiny novella from the Ghost Bird series which is all in Sang point of view, expect the tiny little last chapter of each book. Sang never truly knows what is going on with the boys, so it was really interesting to read this short novella. I love that we find out that it was no accident that Kota's dong Max attacked Sang that night they first met. I feel like these novellas are really going to add to the series. I really enjoy the ghost bird series and have read 10 books in the series even though the story is going into a very strange direction.
